Shanghai World Expo (Belgian & EU Pavilion) – Shanghai

Because we lived in Brussels, my sister and I had to go into the Belgian Pavilion. The Belgian portion of the pavilion showcased Antwerp diamonds, Belgian chocolates, Smurfs, Tintin, and the Manneken Pis (4th photo). The Manneken Pis is a fountain statue of a small boy urinating. Legend says that he put out a fire that could have burned down Brussels. The Manneken Pis is dressed up in different costumes (including a Chinese one) at different times and at times the fountain is filled with beer and locals drink from the boy.
