Dominus Flevit Church and Views of the Old City (Mount of Olives) – Jerusalem

Farther up the Mount of Olives are half a dozen small churches, including the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Mary Magdalene (11th photo), and Dominus Flevit Church (first four photos). Dominus Flevit is latin for “The Lord Wept” and is believed to be the location where Christ weeps openly over Jerusalem. The church (first photo) was built in the shape of a tear drop and offers spectacular views of the Old City (rest of the photos). Also the bathroom there costs one shequel.
