A View of the End of the World – Petra

Signs past Ad-Deir pointed to a “View of the End of the World,” which led to a trail right up to the end of Umm al-Biyara that looked west towards Wadi Rum (a long stretch of desert with a landform that Lawrence of Arabia named the “Seven Pillars of Wisdom”), and further towards Israel.

Although we spent almost two full days in Petra we still missed a few sites (the Tomb of Aaron and the Sextius Florentinus Tomb, etc). But from what I did see, Petra was easily the most amazing archaeological site I’ve been to.
