Museumsquartier – Vienna

The Museumsquartier (translate it yourself) is located just outside the city center in the 7th district and is a 60,000 m² area housing most of Vienna’s famous museums. I only went to the Natural History Museum and the Museum of Art History (1, 2, 4, 5) – which holds the famous Tower of Babel painting by Pieter Brueghel, twin museums located at the entrance to the quarter. Farther in are more art museums with more modern (and less Baroque) architecture.
