Last weekend we went to Haifa, a port city in the north west of Israel, sitting across from Acre on the Bay of Haifa. It sits on the slopes of Mount Carmel and besides being the main port of Israel, has beautiful beaches (1-4), with a lot of jellyfish (2), and is home to many offices of high-tech industries such as Intel (5), IBM, Google, and Microsoft. As Haifa, like Tel Aviv, is a relatively young city, it does not have the same amount of religious historical sites like Jerusalem. However, it does have a few (scroll down).
